GE CHENG & CO. is one of the top IP firms in China and was founded by a group of leading Chinese IP attorneys who started their IP practices from the beginning of the Chinese patent law system, the founding partners proudly participated in drafting the original Chinese patent law and building the Chinese patent system.

Our consistent team and experience ensure the quality of our work.

Our strength lies with our people. Our mid-level associates and upper management team have been together for the last two decades and counting, keeping a core group this size for this long is next to impossible in the fast-changing Chinese IP field. Over the years, we also added a new generation who are not only Chinese IP practitioners but also have overseas professional experience (such as U.S. licensed attorney and patent agent). With international working and studying experinces, our attorneys are also proficient in differnet languages, such as English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, etc.

Over the last two decades, we have served clients of all sizes. In industries such as chemical, automobile, software, and machinery. Our longtime clients range from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. In the pharmaceutical industry, we even have the proud experience of growing with a global giant (a top 25 global pharma companies by Torreya) since her infancies.
