【GE CHENG News】WIPO reports that China continues to lead with the most clusters in the top 100 GII S&T clusters

The WIPO issued a pre-release from Global Innovation Index Report 2024 on August 27 at IP Week @ SG 2024. The report shows that China ranked first in the world for the second consecutive year in terms of the number of global top 100 science and technology (S&T) clusters.
It is reported that China has 26 of the world's top 100 S&T clusters, up from 24 of last year, followed by the U.S. with 20, Germany with 8, and India and South Korea each with 4.
According to the report, 7 of the world's top 10 S&T clusters are in Asia and 3 are in the United States. Tokyo-Yokohama (Japan) leads as the largest global S&T cluster, followed by Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou (China and Hong Kong, China). Beijing (China) moved up one rank from last year to take the third position. In sixth place, San Jose–San Francisco, California is the leading US cluster.
