1. Overview

China's total number of copyright registrations in 2024 reached 10,630,610, up 19.13 percent year on year.

2. Copyright registrations of works

According to the administration, 7,802,965 works were registered for copyright in 2024, an increase of 21.39% year-on-year.

3. Copyright registrations of computer software

According to the statistics from China Copyright Protection Center, 2,827,213 registrations were for computer software copyright registrations in 2024, an increase of 13.31% year-on-year, showing a rapid growth trend.  

4. Registration of copyright pledge

According to the information of China Copyright Protection Center, a total of 432 copyright pledge registrations were completed nationwide in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 5.11%; the number of contracts involved was 287, down 24.87% year on year; the number of works involved was 1,934, 7.11% lower than a year before; the amount of principal debt involved was 4,677,082,500 yuan, down 53.03% from a year earlier; the amount of guarantee involved was 4,101,351,700 RMB, a  year-on-year decline of 58.40%.
