Mr. Zhanyuan ZHAO is a patent litigator and patent attorney specialized in patent relating to mechanical design, instruments and apparatus, electric control with years of engineer experience and extensive expertise. He focuses on patent application, examination, reexamination and invalidation, as well as litigation and non-litigation service of intellectual property.

As a patent attorney, he has been practiced patent preparation and prosecution in our firm since 2004. At present, he has extensive experience of representing our clients for complex patent cases during the examination. 

As a litigator, he has been involved in all phases of trial preparation and motion practice for patent cases. He focuses on providing his advice and strategies in all aspects including invalidation, FTO, civil litigation, administrative lawsuit, infringement analysis and unfair competition lawsuit in combination with his legal expertise and industry knowledge to protect clients’ IP right. He has successfully defended the vital interests of our clients in dozens of invalid and litigation cases in China. 

He received B.S. in mechanical engineering from Taiyuan Mechanical Engineering University (North University of China). He is a member of All-China Patent Attorneys Association.
