Patent Information Sharing Platform for COVID-19 Prevention
2025-04-29
A few days ago, the national integrated online government service platform (the national government service platform) launched a new "Patent Information Sharing Platform for COVID-19 Prevention" function (http://fy.patentstar.com.cn/), which is open to the public free of charge and provides timely and professional patent information services for medical institutions and scientific research institutes to carry out COVID-19 prevention and control.
The full name of the online patent information sharing platform is "Patent Information Sharing Platform for COVID-19 Prevention", which is jointly developed by the China Patent Information Center and CNIPA Patent Examination (Beijing) Center (hereinafter referred to as Patent Examination (Beijing) Center).
According to introduction, the platform is subdivided into 9 major technical fields, including COVID-19 treatment medicines, preventive medicines, virus detection, medical devices, protective products, environmental disinfection, waste treatment, wastewater treatment, big data and AI applications, with 34 secondary branches and 78 tertiary branches. The first batch includes nearly 10,000 Chinese and foreign patent documents on COVID-19 prevention and control. The platform sorts patent information in various technical fields according to technical relevance and patent importance, which is convenient for users to retrieve and utilize.
The ranking of patent documents in various fields included in the platform mainly takes into account factors such as the degree of correlation between the documents and the theme of fighting COVID-19 rights, the current legal status, the position of the applicant/patentee in the industry, the industrialization degree of patented products, the industry attention (citation times) of patent technologies, and the social benefits that can be generated. It was finally determined after professional retrieval and manual screening by review experts in various fields of the Patent Examination (Beijing) Center.
The platform is built by CPRS-Patent Star core retrieval engine independently developed by it. Unique word cutting technology is used to combine its specific retrieval style and index files to achieve a good balance between complete and accurate information retrieval. Users can clearly and intuitively obtain important patent information without registering and logging in directly.
"Let more medical researchers understand and obtain patent information resources, and apply relevant information to COVID-19 prevention and control research earlier, so that we can win the final victory of battle of COVID-19 prevention and control faster."
