In the first quarter of 2023, the number of patent authorizations in Beijing is 42,267, a year-on-year decrease of 12.18%, of which the number of invention authorizations is 18,255, a year-on-year increase of 0.20%. As of March 2023, the number of effective invention patents in Beijing is 492,506, a year-on-year increase of 17.22%. The number of invention patents per 10,000 people reaches 225.5, a year-on-year growth of 17.51%.

In the first quarter of 2023, the number of trademark registrations in Beijing is 59,000, a year-on-year decrease of 55.63%; as of the end of March 2023, the number of valid trademark registrations was 2.946 million, a year-on-year rise of 9.23%.
