【GE CHENG News】Beijing IP Court holds press conference and releases White Paper on the Judicial Work in the Past Ten Years (2014–2024)

On November 6th, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court held a press conference and officially released the White Paper on the Judicial Work of Beijing Intellectual Property Court in the Past Ten Years (2014-2024) (Chinese and English versions).
The white paper includes court profile and statistics on the types of cases it handles, typical cases and judgment rules, protection effects and work achievements, judicial reform and mechanism innovation, talent training and team building, and foreign-related trials and international exchanges, providing a panoramic introduction to the trial, reform, team building and other work of the Beijing Intellectual Property Court in the past ten years since its establishment.
According to the white paper, from November 2014 to October 2024, the Beijing IP Court accepted 201,984 cases and closed 195,506 cases, including various fields of intellectual property such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, and monopolies. Among these cases, 283 cases have been awarded in different levels and types, or have been included in serial books of cases, and 75 cases have been selected as typical cases of intellectual property protection by the Supreme People's Court.
As an international preferred venue for judicial protection on IP rights, adhering to the principle of equal protection in accordance with the law, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court has handled over 36,000 foreign-related intellectual property cases, involving parties from more than 100 countries and regions across five continents worldwide, accounting for nearly 20%.
