In 2023, China handled 12,496 unfair competition cases, imposing penalties totaling 582 million yuan, including 2187 online unfair competition cases.

 

In 2023, the State Administration for Market Regulation promoted the construction of a more open, transparent and orderly market environment to protect the accelerated construction of a unified national market.

 

1. accelerating the promotion of the revision of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law of the People's Republic of China.

 

2. formulating and promulgating the Interim Provisions on Anti-Unfair Competition on the Internet.

 

3. organising a special enforcement action called “Guardian” against unfair competition.

 

4. carrying out the first “service month for enhancing the capacity of enterprises to protect trade secrets”.

 

The Interim Provisions on Anti-Unfair Competition on the Internet has been implemented since September 1 of this year.
