According to The Supreme People's Procuratorate's work report, 21,000 people for crimes such as infringement of trademark rights, patent rights, copyrights and trade secrets were prosecuted in 2024. In one case, Zhang and others illegally obtained a company’s core chip technology, and the Shanghai Procuratorate filed a public prosecution for suspected infringement of trade secrets. 4,219 civil, administrative and public interest litigation cases involving intellectual property rights were handled, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of scientific and technological innovation entities in accordance with the law, serving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.
