The upgraded Memorandum of Understanding between the CNIPA and the Iranian Intellectual Property Authority signed in Beijing

In the afternoon of February 14th, witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Iranian President Rahim, CNIPA signed the upgraded version of the "Memorandum of Understanding with the Intellectual Property Center of the Contract and Property Registration Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran" in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of China, and Handuz, Minister of Finance and Economics of Iran, signed the agreement on behalf of the intellectual property authorities of the two countries.
Since the establishment of the cooperative relationship in 2015, the cooperation between the CNIPA and the Intellectual Property Center of the Iranian Deed and Property Registration Office has been in steady development, and great achievements have been made in the exchange and cooperation in high-level visits, personnel training, and "Belt and Road" intellectual property cooperation. The areas of cooperation in the upgraded memorandum of understanding include invention patents, designs, trademarks, geographical indications, and layout designs of integrated circuits. Conduct specific cooperation in examination practice, information technology and services, intellectual property data and document exchange, etc.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding will further deepen and expand the exchanges and cooperation between China and Iran in the field of intellectual property rights, promote the friendly exchanges between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, and culture, and better benefit the people of the two nations.
