Dawei released the "2021 China Final Patentee Innovation Ranking List" On World Intellectual Property Day

On the basis of the ranking list, the State Grid ranks first, with 53,582 patents granted by a large margin ahead of other entities; Huawei also comes out in front, maintaining a clear advantage in innovation, ranking second with 46,602 patents granted. State Grid and Huawei are the leading innovation entities in the number of patents they own, and are in the top tier of the rankings, reflecting their strong technological innovation strength.

 

The Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sinopec Group have over 30,000 patents, ranking in the second echelon of the list. The total number of patents is also ahead of other innovation entities, ranking third and fourth respectively, and their patents are 37,766. and 34, 262.

 

Compared with the previous year, the overall ranking of the ranking has changed a bit. OPPO rose by 1 place and broke into the top 10 of the ranking. Qingdao Haier, Baidu, VIVO and other companies rose significantly, all rising 9 places. The rankings of Shandong University (↑8), Zhejiang University of Technology (↑5), University of Electronic Science and Technology (↑5) and other universities have also improved significantly.

 

Inspur Group, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Dalian University of Technology being "rising stars" were shortlisted in the TOP 50 list with impressive performances.

 

In accordance with the analysis of the innovation subjects in the ranking list, it is found that the innovation strength of China's local innovation subjects has improved significantly, and the number of innovation subjects has shown a trend of increasing year by year. In 2022, 39 Chinese local innovators will enter the list, an increase of 2 from the previous year, accounting for 78%. Japan, putting the most emphasis on the Chinese market for many years, the number of innovators in China shows a downward trend, with 6 on the list, the proportion fell to 12%.

 

Among the top 50 innovators, universities and scientific research institutes have strong scientific research capabilities, and the number of them on the list is increasing year by year. In 2022, 18 companies will be on the list, accounting for 36% growth from the previous year.

 

On the basis of enterprise industry classification, in the TOP50 list, the authorized patents are mainly from industries such as IT/communication, home appliances/home decoration, and electronics/semiconductor/integrated circuits, respectively accounting for 38%, 22% and 16% of the total list.

 

In terms of the total number of authorized patents in China, Beijing is currently the province and city with the largest number of authorized patents in China, with a total of 220,000 patents. Guangdong Province ranks the second with a total of 180,000 authorized patents. The top 10 provinces and cities also include Zhejiang Province, Shanghai City, Shandong Province, etc., and most of which are located in provinces with relatively developed economies.
