The China-Russia PPH pilot project will be extended indefinitely from July 1, 2023 by the joint decision of the CNIPA and the Russian Federal Intellectual Property Office, and the requirements and procedures for participating in this pilot project will continue to follow the China-Russia PPH guidelines.

PPH is a fast patent examination channel between different countries or regions, which speeds up the patent examination process through work sharing among patent examination agencies. Since the launch of the first PPH pilot project in November 2011, CNIPA has successively established PPH cooperation with patent examination agencies in 31 countries or regions.

The extension of the China-Russia PPH pilot project will further promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia in the field of intellectual property rights, serve Chinese and Russian innovation entities to speed up the patent examination process, and continually promote in-depth cooperation between the two offices in the field of patent examination.
