Recently, the Guangdong-Macao Cooperation Joint Conference was held in Macao. During the meeting, the Guangdong Provincial Administration for Market Regulation and the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of Macau Special Administrative Region Government jointly signed the "Guangdong-Macao Intellectual Property Cooperation Agreement (2023-2025)", showing a higher level of intellectual property cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The agreement signed includes all aspects of intellectual property work in Guangdong and Macao, which means both parties will cooperate in various aspects such as strengthening cooperation in the promotion and use of intellectual property in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, carrying out cooperation in intellectual property protection, deepening exchanges and cooperation in intellectual property, and strengthening intellectual property resource sharing, and promoting intellectual property publicity and education between Guangdong and Macao. With the agreement signed, the intellectual property management departments of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Government of Macau Special Administrative Region will further strengthen exchanges, upgrade cooperation level, expand cooperation areas, promote the in-depth development of Guangdong-Macao intellectual property cooperation, drive innovation with intellectual property, and make innovation results better to empower the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.
