According to the newly released "Research Report on the Integration Capabilities of Technological Innovation and Industrial Innovation in Chinese Cities", China’s scale of research results commercialization continues to expand, with the transaction amount of technology contracts maintaining double-digit growth for several consecutive years. China has become the first country in the world to surpass 4M invention patents.

In 2024, China ranked 10th globally in comprehensive innovation capability, achieving a number of remarkable original breakthroughs in fields such as quantum mechanics, life sciences, and space science. The international science and technology innovation centers in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area all ranked among the top 5 in the 2024 global science and technology cluster rankings.
