According to CNIPA, in 2023, a total of 921,000 invention patents were authorized throughout the year, 4.383 million trademarks were approved for registration, and 11,000 integrated circuit layout designs were registered. In the "Global Innovation Index Report 2023" released by the World Intellectual Property Organization, China's count of the top 100 technology clusters worldwide reached 24, ranking first globally for the first time.

Meanwhile, the protection of intellectual property rights has become more effective. Throughout 2023, 44,000 cases of patent and trademark infringements were investigated and resolved, along with 68,000 administrative cases related to patent infringement disputes. Additionally, 4,745 cases of copyright infringement were addressed. Social satisfaction with intellectual property protection has increased to 82.04 points, reaching a new high.

It is stated that China is accelerating the formulation and introduction of implementation plans for the construction of an intellectual property protection system, focusing on the weakness in IP protection and proposing a series of effective measures in terms of policy standards, authorization and confirmation, law enforcement and justice, protection management, social co-governance, security governance, and capacity support to further strengthen intellectual property protection.
